How I Build Branding and Communication Strategy

 

PART 1: Brand & Market Audit (~3 weeks)

I begin with a clear-eyed look at where your brand stands and where the opportunities lie. This includes:

  • Competitor review (visual, verbal, strategic)

  • Industry and market analysis (local and global)

  • Audience and customer profiles

  • Brand perception insights

  • SWOT analysis

PART 2: Brand Messaging & Creative Direction (3–4 weeks)

Next, I define how your brand should sound, feel, and communicate — consistently and with purpose. This includes:

  • Brand positioning and communication goals

  • Key messaging pillars

  • Brand tone of voice

  • Content themes and formats

  • Creative ideas and expression guidelines (for designers or agencies)

 

PART 3: Communication Plan & Activation Strategy (2–3 weeks)

Finally, I turn strategy into action with a clear plan. This includes:

  • Communication priorities and roadmap

  • Recommended content formats and topic directions

  • Suggested content (web, brochures, social, internal)

  • Supervision of content production (copy, visuals, scripts)

  • Coordination with internal teams or vendors

  • Budget allocation or collaboration guidelines (if applicable)
